THRIVE use the gentlest methods of cooking, such as freeze-drying to keep their cat cattreats fresh but in a convenient pack. Freeze drying takes the water out of food very slowly over a 24-hour period at no more than 35 degrees C which keeps the food full of all the nutrients, leaving a completely shelf stable food ready to eat.
This way the foods retain almost all of their original nutrient value and flavour, there is no need to use additives and preservatives to make them taste good. They are amazingly palatable to pets.
